The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has allowed sales tax input adjustments on more than 700 additional items used in manufacturing to support the textile industry in the country. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, previously, input adjustment was not permitted on these raw materials. 

Now, industrialists can claim refunds or adjustments on the paid sales tax, which will be returned to them. 

The FBR sources said this initiative aims to reduce production costs for textile manufacturers.
