Heroin-filled capsules recovered from woman at Lahore airport

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized a large quantity of drugs in anti-drug smuggling operations conducted in many areas across Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A total of 23 kg and 400 grams of ice was recovered from a parcel booked for London at a private courier office located on Korangi Road, Karachi. The recovered ice was hidden in curtains.
In a separate operation, ice concealed in a woman’s clothes that weighed 3 kg and 400 grams was recovered from a parcel booked for Australia.
In the same fashion, 22 grams of ice was recovered from a parcel to be sent to Australia at a private courier office in Islamabad.
According to ANF sources, the ANF officials recovered 42 heroin-filled capsules from a Colombo bound female passenger at Lahore International Airport.
The accused, a Sahiwal native, concealed the capsules in her clothes.
Similarly, a Bannu resident was held at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar and 7 hashish-filled capsules were recovered from his stomach. He was going to Sharjah.
Three suspects were lassoed near Shaheen Chowk in Old Airport area of Rawalpindi and 4 kg of ice was seized from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
