Karachi and Islamabad achieved second while Multan ranked third in bird-hit incidents.

Pakistan International Airlines already finalized a comprehensive report from January to September 2024.

According to the report, 23 planes were hit by the birds at Allama Iqbal International Airport while one bird-hit incident each was reported from Madinah, Jeddah and Dubai airports.

During the nine months, the PIA registered 83 bird-plane collision incidents while due to technical fault in engine the national carrier also suffered losses.
