Foiling the marriage of an underage girl with a man, Child and Women Protection Cell in Dadu took both bride and groom into custody while their relatives and the Nikah Khawan managed to escape from the spot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
In-charge of the Cell Benazir Jamali raided a home in a surrounding village of Dadu and took 12-year-old Zahida Buzdar and groom Saman Buzdar into custody.
Talking to 24News, Jamali said both girl and man would be produced in a court today (Friday) and that all those who had arranged the marriage ceremony would not be spared either and would be arrested soon.
