Coach Aqib Javed has said Lahore Qalandars are well-prepared, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

Talking to the media, he said that bowling is his team’s strength and the Multan stadium is the best.

“Our squad has been formed in 2020. We have new bowlers and keepers too,” he said, adding that the pitch is not prepared yet and its condition will be different after a couple of days.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 will begin on February 13 and fans are looking forward to the opening ceremony which will feature a live performance of the official PSL 8 anthem by a star-studded lineup that includes Shae Gill, Faris Shafi, Asim Azhar and Abdullah Siddiqui.

Lahore Qalandars had a stunning run in the last edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League, which culminated in the Shaheen Afridi-led team lifting the trophy. It was the first instance of the side winning the coveted HBL PSL title. 

The Lahore Qalandars fans have had a rollercoaster ride. Their side failed to qualify for the playoffs in the first four editions before ending up as runner-up in the 2020 edition.
