A theft worth Rs 3m of surgical equipment has been detected in Mayo Hospital's surgical tower here on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the initial detail, surgical equipment was stolen during the fumigation process in one of the surgical theaters located in the Surgical Tower of Mayo Hospital on Sunday. 

A team led by Additional Medical Superintendent Dr Adil has started an investigation. The lower staff of surgical towers are suspected to be involved in the theft of medical equipment.
