In a significant advancement for emergency and orthopedic care, a new Siemens C-arm machine has been installed in the emergency department of Lahore General Hospital (LGH), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The installation, valued at approximately 4 million rupees, was completed Friday—a significant day chosen with hopes of improving emergency surgical procedures and patient outcomes.
Previously, the hospital faced challenges in managing patients requiring C-arm support, as the outdated machine, which had been in service since 1992, could no longer deliver the accuracy needed for complex procedures.
Medical experts believe that this upgraded technology will streamline surgical processes, reduce patient discomfort, and deliver more precise diagnostic images, addressing long-standing issues in both emergency and orthopedic surgeries.
This acquisition was made possible through generous donations and the commitment of the hospital team, who worked diligently to make this state-of-the-art equipment available. The project was initiated under the guidance of the Minister of Health, the Special Health Secretary, the Principal, and the Head of the Orthopedic Department.
The hospital administration expressed deep gratitude to all contributors, sharing their hopes that the new C-arm machine will provide comfort and healing to those in need, enabling the hospital to offer a higher standard of care to its patients.
