The former Balochistan minister and a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from NA 258 Mir Aslam Buledi on Wednesday received bullet injuries when one unidentified assailant opened fire at him in Turbat city, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.


According to the report, unidentified assailant ambushed Buledi's vehicle, spraying it with gunfire. 


PML-N leader sustained serious gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby teaching hospital in critical condition.


A heavy contingent of security personnel has descended upon the area and cordoning off the crime scene.


The motive for the attack remains unclear, but security forces have launched a major operation to hunt down the perpetrators.


Buledi was shot twice in the leg and once in the shoulder, police said.


Hospital administration confirmed that his condition is stable, and he is recovering well. He will be shifted to Karachi for further treatment.


Aslam Buledi, currently running as the PML-N candidate for the National Assembly seat NA-258 Kech Panjgur, is undergoing medical treatment, and his condition is being closely monitored by medical professionals.


Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incident, and a substantial contingent of police has reached the spot to probe into the attack.


The Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki, strongly condemned the incident and directed the administration to arrest the culprit behind the attack. In a statement issued after the attack, the CM said the terrorists behind the attack would be brought to justice.


The CM directed the deputy commissioner Kech and the district police officer to step up efforts to apprehend the terrorists behind the attack. Various political leaders also condemned the attack on Mir
