M5 Motorway closed from Multan to Zahir Pir

After M4 Motorway, authorities also closed M5 Motorway from Multan to Zahir Pir due to heavy fog.
According to a spokesperson for the National Motorways and Highways Police (NH&MP), motorways are closed to ensure safety of the road users during extreme weather conditions like fog.
He said that violation of lane and line causes accidents in fog. He advised people to travel during daytime, especially between 10am and 6pm, and keep front and back lights on while driving. He said that people should avoid unnecessary travel.
