Punjab Planning & Development Board approves Rs10b funds for Kisan Card, Rs77b for agri and roads schemes

Punjab Planning and Development Board has approved Rs10 billion for Punjab Kisan Card, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The funds were approved during the Provincial Development Working Party meeting which was chaired by Chairman Planning and Development Board Barrister Nabil Ahmed Awan.
The Provincial Development Working Party also gave nod to 23 schemes and okayed funds of Rs77 billion for 23 schemes of the agriculture and roads sector and Rs1.25 billion for the establishment of model agriculture malls in Punjab and Rs67 billion for 21 schemes of the roads sector in different districts.
The sanctioned funds will be used for the construction and repairment of roads in Murree, Gujarat, Hafizabad, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, Khushab, Sargodha and Toba Tek Singh districts.
Funds were also approved for the construction and repair of roads in Narowal, Kasur, Pakpattan and Chiniot districts as well.
Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Ali Sahu, Secretary C&W Sohail Ashraf, members of P&D Board and officers of concerned departments participated in the meeting.
