Security beefed up in Karachi amid terror threats

Security has been beefed up across Sindh, particularly Karachi after the terror attack threats, reported 24newsHD TV channel.
Sources said that banned outfits Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army can carry out terrorist attacks in Sindh.
Law enforcement agencies have deployed police and rangers at sensitive places throughout the city of Quaid-e-Azam. Special measures are being taken on the occasion of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's Urs on Sehwan,
Special police security arrangements have also been made at the shrines including the tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Police personnel have been deployed at the entrance and exit points of the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi. The government issued ordered to the authorities to intensify security steps at mosques, imambargahs and other important religious places.
Police have been directed to increase patrolling and conduct result-oriented snap-checking. Security at checkpoints set up at the exit and entry points of the metropolis should also be strengthened.
Bomb Detective Device is also being used to search for vehicles.
