Pakistan welcomes Afghan Taliban’s Eid ceasefire

Pakistan on Monday welcomed the three-day ceasefire announced by the Taliban in Afghanistan during Eid.

“We fully support all efforts that lead to a reduction in violence and contribute to achieving durable stability and lasting peace in Afghanistan,” the Foreign Office said.

The Taliban made the announcement two days after two days after a bomb blast claimed the lives of 50 people including young girls in Afghan capital Kabul.
