Court rejects Pervaiz Elahi’s plea for exemption from appearance

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore rejected the plea of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi for exemption from personal appearance in the case of attacking policemen and resisting the police raid on his house, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Amir Saeed Ran, the lawyer for Pervaiz Elahi, had filed the plea for exemption from personal appearance.
The court ordered Pervaiz Elahi to appear before the court after rejecting the plea. ATC judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar had heard the case.
