The local government department of Punjab on Tuesday notified 30 percent increase in the salaries of their employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

As many as 58,000 employees of the department will benefit from the decision.  

The employees will also get 15 percent ad-hoc and 15 percent disparity allowances. 

24News learnt that the pay raise would incur an additional expenditure of Rs8 billion on the finance department.
