‘Accomplices’ kill five dacoits during Okara shootout

Five dacoits were killed Tuesday in firing by their accomplices during a shootout with Okara police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Shahpur police station.
The police recovered looted valuables, weapons and motorcycles from them while two of their accomplices managed to escape.
“The accused were looting citizens by placing a barrier on a road when the police reached. Upon seeing the police, the accused resorted to indiscriminate firing which was retaliated befittingly,” police said.
“Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained,” the Okara district police officer (DPO) stated.
