Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has been divided into two units – regulatory and airport services – for better management purposes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Both wings of the CAA will have separate director generals that will work as per Pakistan Airport Authority Ordinances and Pakistan Civil Aviation Ordinances.
CAA DG Khaqan Murtaza has notified the establishment and split into two wings of the CAA.
The regulatory wing will have around 250 employees and will be judged on their performance and most of them will be recruited on contracts.
Khaqan Murtaza said the CAA will take measures to improve the facilities at the country’s big airports.
