JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman wrote a letter to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh for condolence over the deaths of the latter’s sons and grandsons in the Israeli attack.
“I express my condolences on behalf of myself and the Jamaat on the martyrdom of your sons and grandsons in the Zionist attack,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said.
“The martyrdom of these martyrs is not only the loss of the Palestinian nation but the entire Islamic world.”
He prayed the Almighty may grant Haniyeh the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
He condemned the act of targeting the children and family in the attacks.
“Such attacks of Israel are a recognition of the courage and strength of the movement,” he added.
In the letter, Fazl flayed Israel for bombing hospitals and refugee camps.
He reiterated his resolve to back Hamas, saying: “We support Hamas' efforts in Jihad.”
He called on the international community to play its role in ending the oppression and violence against Palestinians.
