The Lahore High Court on Friday stopped the Punjab police from illegally harassing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court heard petitions against harassment of the PML-N leaders including Ataullah Tarar, Rana Mashhood and Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
The court also ordered the Punjab IGP to bring the record of all cases against the PML-N leaders Tarar, Mashhood and Ahmad Khan.
The LHC sought a clause-wise reply from the home secretary, Punjab IG police, and CCPO.
Justice Safdar Saleem heard the petitions filed by Ahmad Khan and others.
Punjab chief secretary, home secretary, IGP and CCPO were made respondents in the case.
Petitioners said that police were making raids to harass them. If police have registered some cases against them, they should provide their record, they added.
