Pakistan Covid positivity ratio stands at 6.59 percent

As the second coronavirus wave soared in Pakistan, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Saturday reported that the country's national positivity ratio for coronavirus has dropped to 6.59 percent from 7.15 percent a day earlier.
According to the latest figures, as of December 12, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Karachi 20.88%, followed by Peshawar 15.05% and Muzaffarabad 11.20%.
The number of critical patients is rising fast in Pakistan as 2,470 Covid patients were in critical condition across the country.
The positivity ratio in various federating units was: AJK 8.70%, Balochistan is 10.48%, GB 1.23%, Islamabad 4.27%, KP 4.12%, Punjab 3.87% and Sindh 12.91%
The province-wise Covid positivity ratio was as under:
Punjab: Lahore 4.56%, Rawalpindi 9.94%, Faisalabad 2.36%, Multan 1.90%, Gujranwala 2.80%.
Sindh: Karachi 20.88%, Hyderabad 8.33%.
KP: Peshawar 15.05%, Swat 5.76%, Abbottabad 8.60%.
Balochistan: Quetta 3.72%.
Islamabad: ICT 4.27%.
AJK: Mirpur 7.87%, Muzaffarabad 11.20%.
GB: Gilgit 0.00%.
