Imran Khan, Qureshi will now be indicted on Dec 13 in cipher case

A special court could not indict former prime minister and PTI ex-chairman Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case on Tuesday and now set December 13 as new date to issue the charge-sheet to both the politicians, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Special court judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain heard the case at Adiala Jail where special arrangements were made for family members of the accused and the media.
The judge disposed of six miscellaneous applications filed by the accused regarding non-provision of challan copies, notification and access to media.
During the proceedings, lawyer Usman Gul objected to the indictment saying they were not provided the copies of the challan.
The judge responded “Why did not you raise this objection during the last seven days.
After hearing their objection, the court adjourned the hearing and fixed December 13 as the new date for indictment.
On the last hearing, the court distributed copies of the challan among the accused,and had said that they would be indicted on the next hearing.
Only a limited number of people will be allowed inside the community centre set up in the jail for the purpose.
Those who would be let in include family members of the suspects, their lawyers and media men.
