Achakzai withdraws nomination in favour of Maulana Fazl

Pashtunkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai has withdrawn his nomination papers from NA 265 Pishin in favour of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
In an announcement issued by the PkMAP, it is stated that Achakzai has withdrawn his nomination papers from NA 265, he has withdrawn his nomination papers in favor of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
PkMAP Chief Achakzai has asked the party to withdraw his nomination papers from this seat.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman is contesting for the first time from Balochistan for a National Assembly seat.
Political observers are of the view that Achakzai's extraction will strengthen Maulana Fazl’s position.
Today is the last day for candidates to withdraw their nomination papers in connection with the general elections scheduled to be held on February 8 by the Election Commission.
