Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party was in opposition and was not considering to join the incumbent government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Talking to newsmen after participating in Khatam-e-Nabuwat Conference in Chiniot on Friday, Maulana Fazl said that he is not in favor of illegal detentions and fake and baseless cases.


He said that holding peaceful protest is right of every citizen but it is not fair to march on the Federation from other provinces.


He further stated that he eliminated the controversial sections of 26th constitutional amendment. Maulana Fazl said that it not an easy task to introduce a 27th constitutional amendment.


He lauded the role of outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa and said that he completed his tenure as an impartial judge.


He said that he will not comment on seasoned politician Sheikh Rashid’s Gate No. 4 remarks.


He also lauded the relief granted to wife of founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Bushra Bibi and other ladies of his party.
