The posting plan of Foreign Office’s officers from Grade 17 to 19 has been in limbo for four months now causing uncertainty and resentment among officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday, quoting its sources.

According to the TV channel, the Foreign Ministry has not yet taken a final decision regarding posting of these 35 officers who have been waiting for their new assignments in foreign countries since April 2020.

The Foreign Ministry had announced appointments of new ambassadors and high commissioners in foreign countries on June 23 last which would have been followed by the postings of officers from Grade 17 to 19, also in foreign countries.

The sources in the Foreign Ministry said these postings could not be realized due to the coronavirus pandemic and the suspension of flights.

Now the Foreign Ministry said the decision about these postings will be made very soon.

A Foreign Office spokesperson told 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday that the ministry is looking into the matter and postings of these officers will be announced soon.
