Several hours elapsed in a dispute over the jurisdiction of two police stations following the robbery of a heavy bike from a citizen by the dacoits, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

According to sources, a citizen namely Umar called the police on 15 that some unknown robbers snatched his heavy bike worth Rs 4.2 million at gunpoint near LOS Stop, Ferozepur Road, and fled. But he received no response from the dolphin or the concerned police station.  When he himself approached the Litton Road Police Station to file a complaint, he was told by the staff that the location where the incident occurred did not fall under their jurisdiction. He was advised to contact Ichra Police Station.

In utter disappointment, he went to Ichara Police Station for a remedy but the official of the police station asserted that where the incident happened did not fall within their station’s limits. He was again advised to contact Litton Road Police Station. Again, Litton Road Police Station refused to entertain his application.   image

Thus, both police stations seem to lock their horns, forcing each other to take responsibility for the legal correspondence of the robbery.

There is no development till filing this report for the aggrieved party.
