Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq has expressed displeasure over the behaviour of the Prime Minister’s Office and Attorney General of Pakistan and directed that the Prime Minister's Office letter written to the President of Pakistan regarding the private member bill should be withdrawn, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The private member's bill for the creation of the National University of Security Sciences was passed by both houses of the parliament. After the approval, the Bill was sent to the President of Pakistan for final signature.

The Prime Minister's Office in a letter to the President's Office raised objections to the word "National" in the name of the university.

Meanwhile, a petition was moved in the Islamabad High Court against the Prime Minister's office’s letter.

Farooq H. Naik appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Chaudhry Hamid Hameed who contended that the Prime Minister or the Federal Cabinet have no role in the bill passed by both houses of Parliament.

During the hearing, the Additional Attorney General appeared on behalf of the state.

If the letter is not withdrawn, the Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister should appear in the court at 10am in the morning, the Chief Justice remarked during the hearing.

“If he (Principal Secretary) does not appear, then I will summon him for contempt of court, Chief Aamer Farooq said.

IHC Chief Justice while addressing the Additional Attorney General remarked that “I give everyone a chance to do their work”. “You sometimes put things on the Law Secretary and sometimes on the ISI”.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq further said, “A note says that you get a security check from the ISI”, “You are also maligning the ISI in this way”, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked.

“Don't defame ISI in everything”, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq clarified to the Additional Attorney General. “The Prime Minister is exempt, but the Principal Secretary is not?, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

“If I call the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, then I will rub him”, Chief Justice said, adding that “a new episode will start from July 22. Let them know”, Chief Justice said.

The execution of the summary should be stopped until the court tomorrow, advocate Farooq H Naik requested the court.

“How can I stop the President”, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said. “Let's see what they decide tomorrow, then we will see”, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked.
