Maryam distributes e-bikes to 16 students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed e-bikes among 16 students, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
Addressing the event, she said she kept her word, saying: “I am happy to hand you the keys.”
She urged women to learn to ride bikes. She listed her government’s feats and shed light on the future projects, saying: “E-bikes are not the only project. Laptops are also being brought in.”
The Punjab CM added: “The laptop scheme will be launched for students across Punjab soon. E-bikes will be awarded on merit
“The Punjab government will pay the fee for those children who cannot afford education expenses. No student will sit at home because of financial constraints.
She went on: “Punjab is going green. We will introduce green transport. Punjab will be the first province to have green transport.”
“E-bikes will replace petrol bikes. We are bringing e-transport charging infrastructure on a large scale to Punjab.
“Punjab will take the lead in providing facilities to the students
We have signed an agreement for eco-friendly buses. We are going to get them from the best company in the world.
“A fleet of 27 e-buses will come to Lahore. Running e-buses will reduce the use of private vehicles.”
