Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that T-20 cricket is a completely different format of the game and has urged members of the national team, presently in Ireland to prepare for the upcoming T-20 World Cup, to fight till the last ball, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In his two-hour meeting with the T-20 squad in Dublin, the PCB chairman discussed with the players the strategy to win matches in the future.
He patted on the backs of players and urged them to show complete dedication and professionalism in their upcoming matches.
“We may chalk out a strategy to win matches in our pavilions. But it is on the ground where the potential and nerves of cricketers are tested,” he said, adding, “You must perform during the match. There is a need to concentrate on fielding so that the other team does not get a chance to outplay you.”
Praising the players, Naqvi said there was no doubt that they all were talented and professionals. “The bowling attack of the national team is brilliant,” he said.
He brought home the fact that teamwork was important to win matches.
