Marriyum Aurangzeb reacts to judge's remarks about Punjab govt's failure to control smog

Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday regretted the court remarks about the government’s failure in controlling smog.
She said that Punjab advocate general’s absence from the court does not mean government has failed to control smog. She said has all the respect for the judge, but all departments of the Punjab government have been working day and night for the last eight months to control smog. She said the Punjab advocate general and the transport secretary would appear in the court on Tuesday and inform the court about the measures taken by the Punjab government to control smog.
She said that Maryam Nawaz is the first chief minister of Punjab who has prepared a comprehensive policy in eight months for improvement in environmental conditions and control of smog. She said this is the first government in Punjab which has allocated Rs10 billion for smog control and Rs100 billion for a better environment. She said that CM Maryam Nawaz has developed a 10 years long policy to rid the province of smog. She said the incumbent government has introduced a latest digital system to check the fitness of the big and small vehicles, including motorcycles.
