Couple shot dead, wife and daughter hacked to death

A couple was shot near Taxila for so-called family honour as the brothers of the victim girl opened fire on them at close range, 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The double murdered took place at Sakho Mahsian village within Wah Cantt Police Station’s precincts. The bodies of Memoona and Rehman Khan were found in the nearby fields where the accused claimed their lives.

Before committing the crime, the killers tied the victims’ hands and then shot in the back of Rehman and in the chest of their sister. Later, they managed to flee the crime scene.

However, it is not clear whether the killings are a result of illicit relationship or marriage/engagement dispute.

And in Sadiqabad, police arrested a man who hacked his wife and daughter to death reportedly over some domestic dispute at a nearby village, Chak No 7N/P.

Meanwhile, the body of a married woman Rubina, 25, was found at Bhanri Wand village of Shahdadkot. There are conflicting reports about the cause of death, as the parents say her husband and brother-in-law strangled her to death. On the other hand, the victim’s husband is claiming that she committed suicide.
