Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday visited Indus Hospital located in Jubilee Town of Lahore and inaugurated new emergency block of the hospital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also visited various departments of Indus Hospital.


Maryam Nawaz inspected CT scan, nursing station, information desk and family medicine centers.


During CM’s visit of wards a woman complained against the police saying officers are not redressing her issue on which the Chief Minister summoned the DIG Investigation on the spot and ordered to immediately redress the complaint and submit a report.


Maryam Nawaz visited the children under treatment in the emergency ward, expressed compassion and prayed for their recovery.


Maryam Nawaz observed the treatment procedure and paperless dashboard system at Indus Hospital.


Maryam Nawaz spoke to the injured youth and his father under treatment, praying for a speedy recovery.


CM Maryam ensured the implementation of construction of ramps in buildings for special persons on the demand of a women.


Maryam Nawaz inquired about the treatment facilities from the patients during visit of different wards of the hospital.


On the occasion Maryam Nawaz was given a detailed briefing regarding Indus Hospital.


CM Maryam sought a joint plan to improve government hospitals with the support of Indus Trust.


The CM also agreed on common measures for heart surgery of young children.


Talking on the occasion Maryam Nawaz said that we want to make every hospital in Punjab better as the matter of health is actually the matter of human life and negligence in this regard cannot be tolerated.


Maryam Nawaz said we will improve the health system by using the system and experiences of Indus Hospital.


Air Ambulance Service is achieving significant success in saving precious lives every day, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said.


The CM said that up to 90 percent free medicines are being provided in the hospitals of Punjab.


Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that we will  collaborate with Indus Hospital for heart and bone marrow transplant.


The CM was briefed that seven million patients have benefited from free and quality treatment under Recep Tayyip Erdogan Trust.


Indus Regional Board Chairman Mian Muhammad Ahsan, Executive Directors Azizul Rehman, Ahsan Tariq, Manager Coordination Bilal Ahmed, Directors Javed Arshad Bhatti, SM Parvez, Hasan Qureshi, CEO Dr. Tasman and CEO Dr. Shafiq were present.


Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bukhari, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Secretary Health and other officials were also present.
