Pakistani-Zimbabwean model and television hostess, Mathira recently appeared as a guest at Madiha Naqvi’s Morning Show, ‘Subh ka Samaa’, where she talked about having a neurodevelopmental problem.
Mathira opens up about ADHD treatment and diagnosis.
During the conversation with the host, Mathira said, “I came to know about ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) when I was an adult.
“At that time, when I tried to seek medical help for my mental condition, I was told by my doctor that I was suffering from ADHD.”
In the discussion, she also mentioned, “I was prescribed medication, which I used for quite some time but discontinued it because I didn’t want to be dependent on medicine.
“You have to heal yourself, so I learned how to manage it on my own.”
