This week, YouTube is launching a new monitoring tool that lets parents and guardians connect their accounts to those of their young ones.
The purpose of the new function is to encourage the production of safe content and raise parental awareness of their teen's usage of the site.
The feature will be accessible through the YouTube family centre, which allows parents to view important insights such as their children’s subscriptions, comments, and upload history.
Additionally both parent and teen will receive email notifications about notable activities, including new video uploads and Livestream.
The company plans to introduce more features in the future to provide further insights into teens’ activities, making YouTube a safer space for young content creators.
