Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza Monday said Pakistan would start producing its own N95 masks soon.
He told the media that the NDMA chairman has said that Pakistan would soon be able to produce N-95 masks locally and would not have to import them.
He said that Pakistan was also working on producing personal protective equipment required by professionals exposed to the coronavirus in the country.
Planning Minister Asad Umar said in order to effectively curb the virus, it was important to adopt the TTQ strategy, i.e., tracing, testing and quarantining. He said that the government was aiming to increase the country's testing capacity to 25,000 tests per day by the end of this month.
