Defective furniture lands shop owner in trouble

A consumer court Tuesday issued a notice to a furniture shop for selling defective furniture to a customer, reported 24News HD TV channel.
A customer Tayyaba Jamal filed a complaint against GN Furniture Shop on Bund Road for selling her defective furniture.
She stated in her application that the shop has given surety to provide good quality wooden furniture, which turned out to be falsehood.
The shop owner didn’t pay heed to her request and ignored the demand for replacement. Therefore, she claimed damages of one lac and twenty seven thousand rupees.
The consumer court issued notice to the shop owner to appear before the court on April 15t.
