An NIRC court in Islamabad turned into a battleground Thursday after the accused hurled a shoe at senior NIRC member over a decision not in their favour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A case was registered at the Secretariat police station on the complaint of senior NIRC member Noor Zaman.
The case was registered against 25 accused including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babu Muhammad Idris, Chaudhry Farooq, Malik Ibadat and Malik Ismail.
“When the court proceedings started, some people including Babu Idris entered the court room and started hurling abuses due to which the court proceedings stopped,” the text of the first information report (FIR) reads.
“Malik Ibadat climbed onto the court stage and hurled a shoe at me. Muhammad Farooq pulled out a pistol and threatened to kill. The court staff saved their lives with great difficulty. The accused also misbehaved with the lawyers in the courtroom,” it adds.
Babu Idris was also a former PTI candidate for Member Cantonment Board.
