Priyanka Chopra wishes Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy for ‘Star Wars’

Ex-Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra seems to be a fan or friend of Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy.

Taking to her Instagram, Priyanka shared a story expressing her good wishes to Chinoy over the latter’s upcoming ‘Star Wars’ film.

The ‘Citadel’ actress has been a great admirer of Chinoy. She appreciated the hard work and efforts of Chinoy due to which she reached this stage.

“First person of colour and the first woman to direct a Star Wars film and she's South Asian! What a historic moment, Sharmeen.

“So so proud of you, my friend. May the force be with you!” wrote the Don star.

Priyanka was not the only star to congratulate Chinoy as many Pakistani celebrities wished her the best.

Mahira Khan also commented on the filmmaker's post, stating “Insane! So so so cool! MashAllah! Congratulations.”

Further, Wajahat Rauf and Adnan Malik also commented on the director's Instagram post. “Congratulations”, wrote Rauf.

“What a journey you’re about to embark upon! So excited for you! And us”, Malik added.
