Famous actor Imran Abbas has criticized Sindh's Department of Culture and Heritage for its efforts to restore ancient sites.
Abbas, who is an architect by trade, described the attempts made by the government to restore it as 'great crime sin.'
Taking to Facebook, Abbas shared before and after pictures of certain heritage sites and wrote: "Being an architect it’s really heart wrenching to watch such a huge crime/sin to architecture and restoration of this archaeological site. Can anyone stop them?"
The heritage sites in the pictures were painted white and refurbished, rather than being preserved in their original state. The photos were originally shared in a tweet by the province's cultural department that has since been removed.
