BISE Lahore announces matric part-II results

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore Tuesday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) part-II annual examination, 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Examination Controller Irfan Ali, as many as 41,573 candidates appeared in the annual examination. Of them, 15,622 were girls and 25,951 boys. The passing percentage remained 32.20.
The results were uploaded on the website of BISE Lahore. The students can also check their results by sending their roll numbers to 80029 through SMS.
Lahore Board raises fee of exam invigilators, examiners
The Lahore Board has increased remuneration for the invigilators and examiners.
The invigilators’ fee has been increased by Rs100 to Rs600 per day.
The examiners’ fee has been increased by Rs11 to Rs35 per paper.
It is learnt that the teachers were not interested in checking the papers due to low remuneration.
According to the Lahore Board administration, the decision will be applicable from the next annual examination.
School canteens continue selling unhygienic items
The school canteens, despite ban on carbonated drinks by Punjab Food Authority (PFA), continue selling soft drinks, sub-standard and expired edible items in schools, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sources quoted that edible items are being sold out without packaging despite the repeated warning of PFA.
The PFA took action after receiving complaints from parents.
The PFA watchdogs will now check the quality of school canteens across the city.
Besides, the Education Authority Lahore has issued instructions to school heads to fully cooperate with the PFA officers.
“A heavy fine will be imposed and canteens will be sealed in case of the violation of the SOPs,” said Education Authority.
The inspection of school canteen will continue till winter vacation.
