ANF busts gang of male, female drug smugglers

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered drugs worth millions of rupees from a gang of male and female smugglers from Kot Momin, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to spokesperson ANF also arrested 9 drug smugglers including 4 women in a successful operation.
An inter-provincial smuggler gang, through women, was involved in drug smuggling in the cities of Punjab.
During the operation, one metric ton/1023 kg of drugs worth millions of rupees.
The female and male accused, disguised as a family, were living in a rented house in Kot Momin.
ANF team stopped 3 vehicles near Kot Momin for search and during the search, a total of 703 kg of hashish was recovered from the vehicles.
During the investigation, the accused revealed the presence of drugs in the house located in Kot Momin on which, the ANF team raided the house in time.
As a result of the operation, 398 kg of opium was recovered from the house and 4 women were arrested.
The accused used to smuggle drugs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and store them in the said house.
The accused used to supply drugs to other districts of Punjab.
