What could be termed a big achievement, the personnel of security agencies and Pakistan Customs posted at Torkham border crossing on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle made-in-the-USA weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to reports, when the vehicle coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan was searched at Torkham, the latest US-made weapons, including M4, Kalashnikov rifles, rifle grenades, night vision sights, laser bombs and thousands of bullets, concealed in bags filled with onions, were recovered.
Security forces took the Afghan driver into custody.
The officials said that the driver was expected to make some important revelations during questioning.
