The Punjab government has reinstated Dr Saleem Shehzad as Services Hospital Medical Superintendent.
Dr Saleem was removed from the post over inability in March last year when novel coronavirus was on the prowl and the Punjab Health Department designated Service Hospital as the focal hospital for coronavirus.
In the removal notification, the department said the action had been taken after receiving a lot of complaints about the medical superintendent’s inability. Dr Iftikhar, who replaced Dr Saleem last year, has been posted to Mayo Hospital as the medical superintendent.
