Moonshine death toll rises to eight in Tando Allahyar

The death toll from consumption of moonshine (toxic liquor) rose to eight on Thursday as two more villagers died in Tando Allahyar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A large number of people were still under treatment at hospitals as families of the deceased blocked the national highway by placing dead bodies on road to stage a protest.
The protest has triggered a huge traffic jam on the national highway.
There are reports that some people have also lost their eyesight after consuming the moonshine, in the villages on the boundary between Hyderabad and Tando Allahyar districts.
