Bodies of two ‘lovebirds’ found in Gujrat canal

Two dead bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from a canal in a village of Gujrat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The deceased man was identified as Qamar Warraich who was killed by firing. His body bore bullet marks. The dead woman was identified as Ansar Bibi. She was a widow and was strangled to death. The murderers after killing them, threw their bodies into the canal.
As per details, Qamar Warraich had been missing since last week and a case of his disappearance was registered at Mangowal police station.
According to police, Ansar Bibi, a resident of Kot Matta, also went missing last week.
The bodies of both Qamar and Ansar Bibi were found when the Upper Jehlum Canal in Gujrat was closed.
Police said that the killers shot dead Qamar who died after receiving four bullets while the woman was strangulated.
They said that the deceased couple was having an affair.
Police nominated one accused in the case and booked another six unknown accused.
