LG system: Govt defying SC orders, says Shehbaz 

Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif took a swipe at the the government for, what he called, defying the country's top court order on local government setup.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president took to social media, saying that the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has continuous been flouting the Supreme Court orders for revivalof LG institutions.

In a tweet, Shehbaz said: "Despite a clear order by the Supreme Court to revive the Local Govt institutions, the PTI government continues to flout the judicial ruling with no consequences."  

"The impunity with which it is acting to keep people disenfranchised is just awful," he added.
