Rs25 per litre cut in diesel price, Rs10 in petrol rate on the cards

There are chances of Rs25 per liter slash in the petroleum products’ (POL) prices in the next three days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources in the Petroleum Division told 24News that petrol’s price was expected to come down by Rs10 per liter while that of diesel by Rs25 per liter.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) will send the summary to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in this regard while reduction in the prices will be subject to the approval of the federal cabinet.
Only yesterday, on July 12, 2022, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, while addressing a public rally at Jhang in connection with the upcoming by-elections on Punjab Assembly seats, had said that PM Shehbaz would announce cut in the prices of petroleum products in the next few days given drop in their prices in the international market.
