The Sindh Police has officially stepped into the digital age with the introduction of modern computerised service cards for its personnel, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The initiative was launched on the directives of IG Sindh, with the first phase covering staff at the KPO (Karachi Police Office) and CPO (Central Police Office).
A notification from the IG Sindh mandates strict guidelines for the usage and security of the cards.
Officers are warned to safeguard their cards, as replacements will be issued only once in case of loss. Repeated negligence may lead to departmental action.
Additionally, officers retiring or leaving service are required to return their service cards, with responsibility for collection assigned to the Sheet Branch. These precautions aim to prevent any potential misuse of the cards.
