Court issues bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Thursday issued bailable arrest warrants for former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in two cases registered against him and other party leaders at Ramna police station and one case at Golra police station of the federal capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court also issued bailable arrest warrants for PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Shibli Faraz and Hassan Niazi.
Imran’s lawyers, on the occasion, filed a petition in the court, seeking exemption for their client from appearance in the court today.
ATC judge Abul Hasnat remarked that the PTI chairman would have to appear.
The court summoned all suspects in these cases, including the former prime minister, on July 19.
Imran, Bushra’s interim bail extended in 190 million pounds scandal case
An accountability court in Islamabad on Thursday extended the interim bail of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in 190 million pounds scandal case.
PTI chief’s lawyer Khawaja Haris submitted an application before Judge Muhammad Bashir seeking Imran Khan’s exemption from appearance as he was busy in Lahore in other cases related to May 9 violence.
The court extended the interim bail of both until July 19 seeking final arguments on the interim bail pleas.
