The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in an operation in SITE area of Karachi, arrested a man for collecting funds for the Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The CTD said that they had also recovered Rs6,000, the amount collected in funds, from Hidayatullah alias Abdul Hakeem, the suspect, along with receipts.

The department informed that Hidayatullah’s father Muhammad Ghaus had been martyred during the Afghan jihad in 2000, while his brother Kifayatullah was a close associate of TTP Swat chapter Ameer Maulvi Fazlullah and had been hiding since the military operation conducted in Swat.
