Refusal by a labourer to work at a brick kiln in Mahni Sial, a suburban area of Khanewal, proved costly for him as the owners of the brick kiln opened fire at him and also beat him up as well as his daughter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.  

The video of the incident shows female members of Muhammad Aslam’s family running amok for safety as the suspects keep firing into the air to scare them.  

The labourer later told the media that the owners of the brick kiln had tortured him as well as his daughter, but the police were not registering case against them. “I am sure they have struck an underhand deal with the police,” he alleged.   

He regretted the police’s inaction despite the fact that the video had laid bare each and every detail of the incident.
