Cabinet approves 25pc increase in salary

In a special meeting, the federal cabinet has approved significant increases in salaries and pensions, sources reveal. The cabinet has sanctioned a salary increase of up to 25% and a pension increase of up to 15%.

Specifically, a 25% salary increase has been approved for employees in grades 1 to 16, while a 20% increase has been granted for those in grades 17 to 22. The proposal for these increases is set to be presented in the upcoming National Assembly session for final approval.

This move is seen as a step to provide financial relief to government employees and pensioners amid ongoing economic challenges.
